Third Writer’s Anniversary

Greetings Scholars,

This August marks three years since I began my journey as a professional writer. It certainly doesn’t feel like it. Every year has felt like a step back to the drawing board. l’ld have a plan for content creation for the year, then life would come crashing down on me, and the plan falls apart. The past three years have been full of experimentation with schedules, writing routines, content format, etc. The number of times I have revamped myself and my content is ridiculous. This August also sees a new approach to my writing and content.

However, this time feels different.

I have been sharing my writing at Open Mic Night and even submitted a couple of pieces to an Instagram Literary Magazine. I’ve stopped trying to hold myself to a strict content schedule, sacrificing quality for speed, and plan to publish content as I complete projects. I am also returning to school to begin graduate work in writing. This August feels hopeful. It feels like the phrase of experiment with my brand is over. I could be wrong, but I think 3 will become my lucky number. The year my career as a writer truly kicks off.
